The Association of Paragliding Pilots and Instructors (APPI) provides a comprehensive set of training standards and courses designed to teach paragliding at all skill levels, with a strong emphasis on safety, skill development, and ethical practices in the sport.

Requirement:

Prerequisites:

  • No prior experience is required.
  • Basic physical fitness and a willingness to learn are essential.

Age Limit:

  • Participants should be at least 18 years old.  
  • Those younger than 18 will need parental consent.

What’s Included:

  • 10-15 days training (theory and practice) with licensed instructor(s)
  • Transport to take-off & pick-up from landing zone
  • Accommodation (shared or single room)
  • Basic food (3 meals a day)
  • Unlimited coffee/tea

Note: Participants should Bring their own Ankle Protection Boots, Slippers, Water Bottles, Towel and toiletries. Laundry Service is chargeable!

Certification Levels in the APPI System

APPI 1 (beginner)

Covers ground handling and initial short solo flights

APPI 2 (novice)

Focuses on developing consistent takeoff and landing skills, with more extended solo flights

APPI 3 (independent pilot)

Aimed at pilots who can fly without direct supervision in familiar sites and conditions
